We will clarify what is expected on any budget entry for July 1,
tomorrow morning through the listserve. We will consult with the State
Budget Director and get information to you as quickly as possible.
Please find the correspondence below that went to the Presidents this
afternoon on the meeting schedule for the State Regents.

Dear Presidents,

 

I know that you have already heard that a budget agreement has been
reached with good news expected for higher education.  The State Regents
will allocate the appropriation at their meeting on June 29th at 8:30
a.m.  Note time change from the previously posted time of 1:00 p.m.

 

The meeting on June 28th at which you were to present information
regarding tuition increases has been cancelled.  The State Regents
considered the importance of this meeting with the fact that the budget
process has been unusual this year.  As you proceed with determining
tuition increases, it is assumed that you are balancing the needs of
your institution with the needs of students for access to higher
education.  

 

Please let me know if you have any questions.  We will inform you of the
timeline for the State Regents to approve budgets and tuition increases
as soon as we can.
