She told me they were working out the final details of how to credit schools for their COBRA payments. It sounds as though they will have that info ready either later today or tomorrow morning. Payroll personnel or finance officers will receive the information via e-mail. OSEEGIB has already worked out something with them in terms of the state employees. OSEEGIB will notify OSF as the 35% payments are received, and OSF will physically cut checks weekly for those payments (the 65% employer-paid) made by the pre-determined cutoff date. OSF anticipates something similar for the universities, even for those not on OSEEGIB's plan. They will be seeking input from schools today as to feasibility before they issue the final instructions. FW: Education Subcommittee meeting on Wednesday. Message-ID: We have received the following communication from the Senate staff asking for information on potential revenue cuts for FY09, FY10 and FY11. See the attached spreadsheet for dollar amounts. Obviously, the short turn out will not allow us to do a thorough analysis, yet we are asking for your initial estimates and impacts on your institution on the following scenarios with a due date of 4:00 pm tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31st. We will compile the data for the Wednesday am meeting. (A) 1% cut on total allocation for FY09 (B) an additional 5% cut for FY10 from the above revised FY09 base (C) an additional 10% for FY10 from the above revised FY09 base Please send us the best information you can pulled together. Return to Amanda Paliotta, apaliotta at osrhe.edu Thank you. Note that the cut for FY09 is on total allocation not just General Revenue. ________________________________ From: Amy Dunaway [mailto:dunaway at lsb.state.ok.us] Sent: Monday, March 30, 2009 2:21 PM To: Paliotta, Amanda; Brady_Mcullough at okcareertech.org; Lealon Taylor Cc: Jeremy Geren Subject: Education Subcommittee meeting on Wednesday Importance: High I'm sure many of you have heard this already, but there will be a subcommittee meeting this Wednesday at 9:30 am in room 419-C. Please be prepared to respond to these scenarios: A 1% cut from total FY '09 appropriation Assuming a flat budget from the 1% reduced FY '09 appropriation, how will the agency be affected if it was cut by an additional 5% for FY '10 and '11? What if the cut was 10%? A meeting notice should also be sent out soon. Let Jeremy or me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
