The deadline for submittals is June 30, 2017. As in years past, you are required to evaluate and self-rate your requests utilizing the Long Range Capital Planning Commission's Project Guidelines, which are located here: https://www.ok.gov/dcs/searchdocs/app/manage_documents.php?id=1056. This document outlines what projects qualify for submittal and what information you should include with your requests. If your agency will not submit any capital outlay requests, please send me an email stating that your agency has no requests. This year, agencies will utilize the attached spreadsheet for capital outlay request submittals. The spreadsheet has a few changes since last year. Many of the "funding source" columns have been removed or consolidated. I have also added some clarifying language to the evaluation and rating sections of the spreadsheet. I have added additional guidance information to some fields as a comment box. If the upper-right corner of a field is red, you can hover over that field for more information on what should be entered in that field. Fields that are shaded gray will self-calculate, so you will not enter data in those fields. I have also attached a pdf file that provides an overview of the capital planning process and the Long Range Capital Planning Commission's Evaluation Guidelines. I recommend reviewing this document prior to completing your spreadsheet. You can also find capital planning information at https://ok.gov/DCS/Capital_Planning/. The "Related Topics" section of this page contains links to the current Capital Improvements Plan and other documents that may be helpful. Please be sure to re-submit any requests from previous years that are still relevant yet unfunded. If you need a copy of your agency's submittal spreadsheet from last year, please contact me.
