<p class="MsoNormal"><a name="body"></a>This afternoon, Monday, February 5, 2018, I attended Governor Mary Fallin’s State-of-the-State address at the Capitol. I have attached a transcript of Governor Fallin’s State-of-the-State address, a copy of the Executive
Budget Summary, and a copy of the press release for your review. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">In Governor Fallin’s Executive Budget for Fiscal Year 2019, she recommended $773,597,660 million in total state appropriations for higher education.
<b>This is a flat budget from the FY18 appropriation for our state system of higher education.
<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Her budget recommendations did include an increase of $312,073,935 for common education for $5,000 teacher pay raises ($298.5 million) and to pay for annual flexible health benefit allowance increases ($22.6 million).
The recommended budget for CareerTech for FY19 ($112,515,558) is a flat budget from the FY18 appropriation.
