Subject: Information Literacy Syllabi Review

Greetings, 

We are conducting a review of syllabi for credit-bearing library and information literacy courses. The aim of this project is to gain a better understanding of how these courses are structured in other institutions of higher education. We are particularly interested in examining how (or if) the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education is being integrated into these courses, and if not, what is being taught instead.  The syllabi review will focus on learning objectives and topics covered.  

If you teach credit-bearing library classes at your institution we would like to request two things from you no later than October 15, 2018: 

1.                  Please send us the syllabi for the credit-bearing library courses you teach by responding to this email, and if applicable, the master syllabi for the same courses.  

2.                  Also, forward this request to any other librarians who teach credit-bearing library classes at your institution.  

We hope to share the results of this project in the library literature. We will not be publishing individuals' names or contact information, nor will we call out institutions by name when discussing instruction practices.
