[COPLAC-IR] participation in NSSE and benchmarks

Hi Nancy,

Eastern does NSSE every year.

We are interested in COPLAC comparisons but that is not the 'bread & butter' of our NSSE usage.  We focus mainly on breaking some important items out by academic major.  We share that with dept chairs and any other interested faculty so they can see what's going on in their major, and address it in annual reports.

A little off-topic:  what we would most like to see COPLAC comparisons on is 4-year graduation rate.

HI!

I have a couple of questions for the list serve today.


1.       I know as a consortium we participate in the NSSE administration every other year (even numbered years).  However, do any COPLAC schools administer the NSSE every year?

2.       I know from our VPAA that Evergreen State uses the five NSSE benchmarks of effective educational practice and compares them to other institutions (including COPLAC). Are any other COPLAC institutions doing similar comparisons with NSSE or other instruments that you wouldn't mind sharing with me what you are doing?
