[Counselors] PASSING EOI/FAILING COURSE

[OSRHE EPAS PK-12 Counselor Discussion Board]

This is the policy that our school board has approved at Cordell and is included in our student handbook:


Credit Policy:  Students that fail or receive a “No Credit” grade on an EOI course but score proficient or higher on the requisite EOI exam or alternative exam will be given up to two semester credits for the EOI course.  Such students scoring “proficient” will receive a credit grade of “C”.  Such students scoring “advanced” will receive a credit grade of “B”.  The original credit grade of “F” will remain on the transcript.  It will not be replaced.

 I need some help with policy examples. I was in a meeting and a counselor mentioned they give a D for a score of Proficient and a C for a score of Advanced, if the student failed the course. If you have something similar will you please email it to me. Thank you!

Just remember, it is local board policy:
