[Counselors] Attention Middle School Counselors re: literature and language

[OSRHE EPAS PK-12 Counselor Discussion Board]

In all of our middle school classes we have 1 full year of reading and 1
full year of English (ELA).  The reading class includes literature and the
English class incorporates writing/spelling.

Attention all Middle School Counselors!! We are looking at our schedule and
currently have a full year of 6th grade Literature and a full year of 6th
grade Language.  A full year of 7th grade Literature and a full year of 7th
Language.  In 8th grade the students have 1 year of Writing/Grammar and ½
semester of Literature.  What do you do and why??
