>From a GT student's mom:  I don't know anything about their summer academies.  I have heard their online classes are a lot of fun.  I did here that the best camp is Northwestern's Center for Talent Development summer programs (if you can afford it).  They have a summer camp in Chicago this year and a friend's son went last year and absolutely loved it.


>From another GT student's mom: I did send Tom in between his 7th and 8th grade year to take Algebra II. We thought it was worth is, he spent 3 weeks in Florida, we did get a partial scholarship, which helped.  If he is taking a course for credit, make sure the school will accept it.  I thought is was well worth it, he really enjoyed it.

Have any of you had a student attend the Duke Tip summer program? 
I have a student that has been invited to go, but the mother wants to make sure it is worth not only the time but the money (said it is a little pricey!)
