[Counselors] 504 question

We do a review and decide no longer eligible due to being served on IEP and get all the signatures, then close it out.  It is nice if you can do it at the meeting where they write the IEP so it isn’t a separate meeting.

I think that at the beginning of the school year or whenever the IEP goes  into effect, the IEP automatically trumps the 504 and you can just put the 504 into an inactive file. I believe that's correct...anyone else know any differently?
