The attorney said to keep copies of all communications and make others aware when they enter the office that video and audio recordings are in place. He stated that since it is the district's policy to have a camera in place in this office I am not liable. I am not comfortable with that. Guymon requires summer reading on several honors and all AP. Move in students are typically given a little time to meet the summer reading requirement. Our AP Bio & AP Chem have large summer assignments due the first or second day and it would be very difficult for someone who moved in to be successful in the class without the assignment and knowledge. Some of our PreAP & AP English classes have reading over the summer with a test or assignment during the first week. During Red Ribbon week I've taken some of my leaders into the younger classrooms and they would tell them to make good choices, talk about fire danger, bullying, etc. (It depended on the age of students they were visiting.)
