Owasso Baptist
Tulsa Boys Home
Thunderbird (not lock down and I believe 16 and older)
Job Corps can be a good option, I prefer Talking Leaves in Tahlequah (16 and older)
You may call Calm Center in Tulsa and ask if they have options.

If he is Native American and using substances, the Healing Place is a great option

Hello Counselors,

I'm needing some suggestions. I have a 7th grade boy who has had a rough home life, acting out at school, has failing grades, been in ISS and is currently in OSS. He lost his grandpa 5 years ago and that was the only positive male role model he's had. His oldest brother committed suicide a year ago, so he has experienced a lot of loss as well. Grandma is the responsible one due to mom not taking her medications and unable to communicate responsibly. Grandma has shared that they'd like to get him into a boys home such as Boys Ranch, but they do not have any open beds at the time. They are not wanting to wait to get him into a place to help him. Grandma feels like she can't control him and mom isn't able to due to her not taking care of herself. Any suggestions on a good boys home in Oklahoma that you think would be a good fit for his situation?

Thanks for your help!
