I need some guidance. We have very few students in our alternative program, a normal schedule looks like they are online at our local technology center working on core curriculum material in the morning and in the afternoon they are working in a technology program, such as construction. How do you guys show the core curriculum side in your SIS? We have a general site code for our alternative program but they are usually not working on three different core classes at one time so I don't know what to show on their schedule side of it, it is usually just two core classes at a time. I know this question seems very confusing but we are running into roadblocks and want it to be in our SIS correctly. *Danielle Tucker, M. For 4th grade she and I will go in and do a hygiene talk together and the kids seem pretty receptive to it. I'm a 4th-6th grade counselor in my current district. In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Last year I was an English teacher and remembered they had only students testing in the building while other grades were given virtual days. That way, the teachers were available to help as test administers and proctors. The bells were turned off, and the halls were quiet. As Freshman Counselor and Testing Coordinator, I have not gotten them to give us a virtual day so far. We tested all students 9-12th on the same day (that was a bear getting organized). 9th took the PreACT, and 10-12th took advantage of the Free ACT testing offered by the state. The Juniors all took the ASVAB, and Sophomores had to take the PreACT too. Thankfully we had eight empty classrooms in the west building I could use for those tests. We are planning a virtual day for the Junior ACT in the spring. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Seniors would stay home and work online. All students have a Chromebook, and teachers use Google Classroom. Last year, attendance was taken by students checking in or submitting assignments (type of activities). I would have a couple of Google Meets in the afternoon with students. I hope this helps, Sherry On Wed, Dec 15, 2021 at 3:50 PM OSRHEStudent Prep PK-12 Counselor Discussion Board wrote: > Duncan did last year for testing and had Virtual Days at both the Middle > School and High School. > > On Tue, Dec 14, 2021 at 3:22 PM OSRHEStudent Prep PK-12 Counselor > Discussion Board wrote: > >> Has anyone considered during state testing to have non-testing students >> stay home and work virtually? >> >> I have heard of a couple of high schools considering a virtual day for >> students not taking the ACT.
