[Counselors] Honors Program

[OSRHEStudent Prep PK-12 Counselor Discussion Board]

We offer a certificate of distinction if a student completes
4 English
4 Math
4 Social Studies
4 Science
2 Foreign language
2 Arts
has a 3.25GPA


We offer an Honors Diploma. Only students on the Honors Diploma are considered for valedictorian, then it comes down to GPA. We do not weigh any classes.
 Option 1 Requirements:
4 English
4 Maths
4 Social Studies
4 Sciences (including chem and physics)

Option 2 Requirements:
4 English (Eng 12 must be AP)
4 Maths
4 Social Studies
4 Sciences (including chem and A&P)

We are wanting to implement an Honors Program and a Valedictorian of Distinction (not sure what to name it yet).  I would love to see any handbooks, policy, etc. for these 2 things.  We are a 3A/4A school and we would love to see some other schools our size with these programs.  Any logistics on scheduling, requirements, etc. would be very beneficial.  Thank you!
