I took on the Alt-Ed program my first year of counseling. Oh geez!!! I did a google docs folder. Created 16 folders, scanned in everything and filed them in whichever folder # it went under. For our audit I shared that main folder with her and we went through each folder and I explained what it was. I have tried a physical binder but it just got too thick and out of order. Plus our audit was virtual. It was just easier to share the google Folder. So, the main folder "Alt Ed Audit" Inside that folder I created 16 folders. Hope that helps. Yes, the other email too. You'll probably get some helpful documents from other counselors on the Discussion Board. I don't have good access to my files today, so I'll include a few ideas below and some others when the weather clears up and we get back to school. It's so caring of you to reach out to help your student who wants to stay in the course. At this time, many AP and bright students are having achievement problems, as well as the social emotional issues that almost every high school student is facing. Whether or not she can shape up, she will always know her counselor cared! This is the contract on College Board's AP website. https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/rtf/ap-sample-exam-taker-agreement.rtf Also you can Google "AP course contracts" for some that represent schools across the nation, public and private. -Bonnie Bonnie Wood AP Coordinator Western Heights High School Oklahoma City, OK 73179 I was hoping someone had a contract for students who are taking an honors or AP course to sign. There are a couple of questions that we want to see what other schools have done this year and in the past. They are as follows: * What have you done with your kids who are virtual and not working or "attending"? * Do you remove them from the virtual option, or what is your process? * Do you have a full time virtual counselor in your program? * If so, what are their duties? We are currently looking for any help in best practices or things that have worked for you in your schools or you district. Thank you for your time, and have a great week! Thank you, Tracy L.
