E.  When a student earns college credit through concurrent enrollment, school districts shall provide academic credit for any concurrently enrolled higher education courses that are correlated with the academic credit awarded by the institution of higher education. 
 Academic credit shall only be transcripted as elective credit if there is no correlation between the concurrent enrollment higher education course and a course provided by the school district. (70-628.13)<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 The local school must compare the college syllabus with the high school syllabus or standards or course description (what is being taught in the course) and make the decision of what high school class the college class will be transcripted for.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 encouraged to visit with the scholarship office at the school or schools they are looking at for future college attendance.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Classes taken concurrently may not effect scholarships but they likely will effect SAP, Satisfactory Academic Progress.  Students must be cautioned
 about poor grades or poor completion rates in these classes.  If they drop a couple or get a couple of “D’s” in these classes in high school, the situation will follow them and they may find themselves in a probationary financial aid status immediately upon
 becoming a regular college student.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
