We require our online students to meet a certain percentage each week to keep them on track (this is calculated by # of days in the semester). If they don't meet their weekly percentage then they have to report to Friday School from 8-12 (we are on a 4 day week). If they don't complete at Friday school then they are placed on the probation list. If they don't meet it 2 consecutive weeks in a row, they become ineligible.

On Mon, Nov 20, 2017 at 2:33 PM, OSRHE EPAS PK-12 Counselor Discussion Board <counselors@lists.onenet.net> wrote:

I am also very curious about what others use to motivate students that are taking on-line courses.
What are some things that anyone has tried with their high school students to help them understand the importance of grades and test scores starting in early high school? I have tried talking with the class as a whole and have done some individual conferences
with them but nothing seems to work! Some students realize in their senior changes need to be made but it is really too late for some situation at that point. Any suggestions are welcome.
