Apparently, this is not guaranteed even though it is scheduled. Support has to approve the scheduled time through a Change Advisory Board (?). I have asked when we will know for certain that is the time for deployment. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>The message from the helpdesk indicated “there should be no expected downtime, and only a possibility of a brief slowdown during the deployment window, which is 2hrs. Having said that, there should be no impact to end users that is of concern.” I asked about how a restart of services could affect a student who is taking a quiz and connected to one of the app servers. When the services on the app server are restarted, I assume that student would be kicked off and be forced to login again. I am awaiting confirmation of this and the time for deployment.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>I haven’t posted a news item yet.
