Hi folks,

I sometimes receive emails about causes which I don't have time to deal
with even though I do have an opinion on the matter, but I got one
yesterday that brought it to my attention that there is a vote coming up
tomorrow that I don't even want to think about passing. It concerns the
slaughtering of American horses for sale to foreign countries for food.
I just can't conceive of anyone killing a horse to eat. And I can't
conceive of anyone in Oklahoma, where we love horses, agreeing with it,
but unless we call in and let our congressman know this, that's the way
it will go. If you don't like the idea of horses being slaughtered for
food, be sure and call Dan Boren today and let him know this. His phone
number is 202-225-2701 and he needs our input. That's the way
government is supposed to work. An alternate number is for the
Congressional Switchboard, in case you can't get through on the first
one: 202-224-3121. This bill is called the American Horse Slaughter
Prevention Act, H.R. 503.

Our menu for today (which does not include horse meat) is:

          Fried chicken
          Mashed potatoes and gravy
          Corn on the cob
          Rice
          Pinto beans
          Cornbread
          Turnip greens
          Hot rolls
          Pasta bar

Our fast food is PIZZA!

And for dessert have a piece of delicious Cobbler.

Have a great day,

Rhoda :-)
