Hi folks,

Well, it's that time of year when it starts to sound like war has
erupted all over the county, but don't panic, it just means that the
fireworks stands have opened up and kids are out blowing stuff to
kingdom come all over the place. Not a real popular time of year with
most pets, especially some dogs. Be sure and keep yours in a safe,
secure place when people start shooting off fireworks withing hearing
range, as some pets can become very nervous, and may even become
terrified enough to run away from the noise without even realizing that
they don't know where they're going, and they may not even be thinking
well enough to watch for oncoming traffic. If you have a pet that is
extremely nervous around fireworks, you might try putting them in a room
with a radio going to hide the sound of the explosions.

Happy Birthday wishes go out today to an Eastern institution, Joyce
Bills, our Human Resources/Payroll guru. She's been at Eastern waaaay
longer than she'd like me to mention, and is always so helpful and
pleasant to deal with, as are all the ladies in the Human
Resources?Payroll office, because after all, they learned from the
best. Have a wonderful day, Joyce. You deserve it!

Our menu for today includes:
                Beef tips
                Mashed potatoes and gravy
                Broccoli and rice casserole
                Corn
                Squash
                Hot rolls
                Frito chili pie

And for dessert have a taste of summer, a big helping of Peach Cobbler.
A squirt of ice cream on top and you've got the perfect summer dessert!

Have a great day,

Rhoda :-)
