[Eoscstudents] Good news from PTK and the Regional Convention

Eastern can be proud of the students who represent them. Just a quick note
to let everyone know that the Theta Pi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Eastern
Oklahoma State College returned from the Arkansas/Oklahoma Regional
Conference in Ardmore, OK with an arm load of trophy’s and awards. There are
42 chapters in the Ark/OK region.

 

Eastern’s Theta Pi chapter was again named a 5-star chapter. The ultimate
goal for any local chapter. This makes 5 years in a row!

 

The students set goals, planned events, and followed through with completion
of the Hallmark awards application. Hard work and dedication was involved in
everything that makes this happen. Congratulations to the officers and
members who represent our chapter!! 

 

The other 2008 Arkansas/Oklahoma Regional awards the chapter and individuals
received are as follows:

ü  1st place – Leadership Hallmark Award

ü  5th place – Service Hallmark Award

ü  3rd place – Distinguished Chapter President Award – Eric Shaw

ü  1st place – Distinguished Chapter Member Award – Jacquelyn Meyer
