Hi folks,

I hope you all had a great weekend, the last one of our special summer 
hours, sigh, so it's back to the 5 day a week routine now.  But looking 
at the weather forecast, it's definitely not time to put away the shorts 
and flip flops yet.  The lowest high temperature predicted for the next 
10 days or so by the Weather Channel on my computer is 104!  And there 
are only a couple of those, with the rest of the high temperatures 
ranging up to 110!  Be sure and put plenty of water out for any pets 
that must stay outside, (more than one container is better in case one 
gets knocked over), and water your outside plants.  With these 
temperatures, it's going to be extremely hard on anything or anyone 
having to be outside for any length of time. 

We definitely discovered how serious a burn ban can be, when a stray 
spark set some of the ornamental grass in front of the Student Center 
ablaze last Thursday evening.  Be very careful when discarding 
cigarettes or working with anything that could cause a stray spark to 
catch in any combustible material.  With the dry conditions we've had, a 
small fire can get out of control very quickly. 

I attended a book signing at the Latimer County Public Library this past 
Saturday for "Hereafter", a teen/young adult ghost story set in the 
Wilburton area, and written by Tara Hudson, a first time author who has 
ties to this area.  I think it's thrilling to have a published book that 
uses our town as its setting, so be sure and watch for it in bookstores, 
(if there are any left), and Wal-Mart.  Who knows, Wilburton could be 
the next Forks!  

Our menu for today includes:
            Chicken fried steak
            Mashed potatoes and gravy
             Corn
             Green beans
             Hot rolls
And for dessert, have some delicious Blackberry Cobbler.

Hi folks,

Thought I'd better mention that due to rising costs, our cash price for 
meals to the public and students has gone up to $6.25.  In spite of the 
.25 increase, it's still a great deal, as you get your main course and 
sides, salad bar, drink, dessert, and everyone's favorite soft serve ice 
cream if you want.  

The new EOSC calendars are out, good until July 2012.  (Check out Mr. 
July 2012, by the way.  It's our own Dougo in the radio station.)  Tune 
in and listen to his show from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Mon. thru Friday 
at www.radio.eosc.edu for lots of great music, entertainment news, local 
news, public service announcements, advertisements from some of our 
wonderful area businesses, and more.

There must've been a glitch in the emails yesterday, since the menu I 
sent out first didn't arrive until after I'd sent out a redo.  I noticed 
the same thing with Doug's email from the radio station.  His was sent 
early, and didn't arrive until he was ready to sign off the air.

Hi folks,

With the heat wave we've been experiencing, I think I'll suggest to 
Mildred that we start serving breakfast at lunch so that we can cook the 
eggs outside on our car hoods and bake the biscuits inside the vehicles 
to avoid heating up the kitchen.  Pretty sure it would work.  It's 
definitely been hot enough!

With my daughter, Destiny, starting to college here next week, I'm 
experiencing this whole college thing from a different viewpoint.  I 
went to the Bookstore yesterday and had Ali explain to me how she would 
get her textbooks if classes start next week and financial aid doesn't 
come in until September.  Ali told me that Destiny would need to go to 
the Business Office and get a voucher to bring to the Bookstore so she 
could go ahead and get her books, then when her financial aid comes in, 
the books, etc. would be paid for and the rest goes onto her Higher One 
Card.  Now all these big "Higher One" signs are starting to make sense 
to me.  Helen Scott, whose daughter Marissa was a freshman here last 
year, also gave me some good recommendations she had learned through her 
experiences, such as signing her up for Student Support Services, an 
excellent program that provides all kinds of help and support to their 
enrollees.  I also went upstairs to see Dana Lewis, Student Services 
Administrative Assistant, and got a few other things cleared up that I 
had questions about.  Everyone has been very helpful, including Cyndi 
Campbell,  who had to print me off a schedule yesterday, so I'd have a 
starting point for my questions.  (Cindy and Joe also have an incoming 
freshman daughter this semester, Destiny's cousin Ricky Jo.)  Having a 
daughter in college gives an exciting new perspective to the beginning 
of the semester. 

Very Happy Birthday wishes go out today to Jennifer Labor in Financial 
Aid, and Tereasa Ellison, our lunch cashier here in the Cafeteria.  I 
don't know if Jennifer is working today, but Tereasa is here, so when 
you come in for lunch be sure and wish her a Happy Birthday.

Our menu for today includes:
          Pork chops
          Baked potatoes
          Broccoli and cheese
          Fried squash    
          Pinto beans
          Cornbread
          Biscuits
And for dessert, have some all American Apple Cobbler.  Top it off with 
some of our soft service ice cream!

Hi folks,

Sorry to be so late sending out the menu today.  I was upstairs 
attending the part of the Faculty Conference that was for Faculty and 
Staff and included the President's state of the college talk.  I kept 
thinking I should leave, but then he'd start on another subject I wanted 
to hear about, and then when he got to "Good Stuff" I knew I wanted to 
hear that so I overstayed my time, but was glad to hear what he had to 
say, at least up to the point when I had to leave.   What was said after 
that I don't know.  I hope it was more good stuff.
Don't forget this weekend is "Tax Free" weekend on clothing items in our 
Bookstore, so if you know students who need to get some Eastern wear to 
sport around campus, this would be the time for them to do it. 

I was excited to hear that the Mountaineer Radio show with Dougo will be 
broadcasting from the Cafeteria in our new Student Center Monday morning 
from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.  This will be Orientation day on campus when our 
new students show up and get all their paperwork finished up, their 
schedules figured out, and their multitude of questions answered by our 
friendly Eastern staff.

available in the SSS offices at Johnston Hall for you to complete your 
required workshops.  These workshops will take you approximately 30 to 
45 minutes to complete and must be done in the computer lab.

If you cannot come during that week, you MUST call one of the counselors

arrangements to complete the workshops. 

You will NOT receive any of the books you requested or be eligible for 
Grant Aid until you have completed the workshops.

Hi folks,

Halleluljah!  It actually rained at my house yesterday, and I hope it 
rained at yours, too.  Unfortunately, we've learned that these little 
rainstorms are sometimes very spotty, and sometimes people come to work 
bragging that it poured at their house the day before, making me just 
want to smack them, because my house didn't get a drop!  Yesterday I was 
one of the fortunate ones, so I guess if someone smacks me today, I'll 
understand.   I walked out to our pond the other day, amid a flurry of 
grasshoppers, and it was VERY low.  There's an old, dead cedar tree that 
the previous owners threw in there for a fish habitat and we can kind of 
judge how low the pond is by how much tree we can see.  That day I was 
seeing a LOT of tree.  I'm hoping yesterday's rain will help with that.

Very Happy Birthday wishes go out today to Cafeteria cook Kevin Holland, 
(age classified), and RA Nick Wallace, who is turning the big 2-0 
today.  I hope they both have a great day. 

Don't forget this is TAX FREE weekend on all apparel in the Bookstore, 
so let any students you see know that this would be a good weekend to 
get any Eastern wear they've been wanting.  Don't you just love a bargain?

The Bookstore is now offering rentals on selected titles.  There are a few stipulations that apply; you have to have a valid drivers license and a valid credit card that will not expire before the end of the semester that you are renting in (this does not include your school refund card or your debit/bank card, sorry).  
Something to know up front is that the book has to be returned back to the Bookstore by the deadline at the end of each semester, in the condition that it was rented in, and there will not be any buyback monies given like you would if you had purchased the book.

Hi folks,

I'm pretty excited about this new semester!  This is the first time I've 
gotten to be the mom of a brand new Eastern student, (who is at this 
moment, in a very long line upstairs waiting to get her official Eastern 
student ID).   It's been super busy in our building today with 
registration taking place in one corner, and Dougo set up with his radio 
show on Mountaineer Radio in another corner.  Be sure and tune in to it 
at www.radio.eosc.edu to hear all kinds of great music, news, weather 
and sports, as well as special announcements, the occasional live 
interview and much more.  I'm sure the Bookstore has been busy, too, but 
I haven't made it down that far yet.  In a few days though, the initial 
rush and confusion will settle down to another typical semester, and 
life and learning will go on, back to business as usual.  

I failed to look far enough ahead on my calendar last week to see that 
Tracy Clark, one of our computer geniuses on campus, and husband of 
registrar Karen Clark, was celebrating a birthday yesterday.  I hope he 
had a great day!  He's a really nice guy and a great Eastern employee!

And today, Vice President of Business Affairs, LaDonna Howell, 
celebrates her birthday!  Any actual celebrating of that may have to 
wait until after all the registration hubbub dies down!

We have had several students inquire about work study jobs for the 
fall semester.  Gail Wilson (Choctaw Hall Rm 123, or (918)465-1769) 
will be handling work study this year, and has a list of names of 
interested students that she is currently working on.    Students who 
are eligible to work this year will be given paperwork and a list of 
supervisors beginning August 22.

Gail has informed me that some students have told her they "will go to 
work tomorrow" for someone on campus.     

Students and supervisors, please be aware that until students have 
been approved for work study and have completed and returned all the 
necessary paperwork, they cannot be considered on work study and are 
not eligible to be paid.   

Any student who begins working without authorization is essential 
volunteering their time.   Any supervisor who allows a student to 
begin working without authorization will need to have other 
arrangements made to pay the student (either through departmental 
funds or personal funds) because we do not know at this time which 
students will actually qualify for the work study positions.

While we are committed to placing students in work study positions as 
soon as possible, we are also dealing with students trying to complete 
their financial aid files and receive book vouchers.   At this time, 
helping the students obtain their textbooks is our highest priority 
with classes beginning today.

Please be patient as we provide information to eligible student 
workers, who will then contact faculty and staff for possible 
employment.

Hi folks,

Well, I believe we all survived Freshman Orientation yesterday.  (Even 
the scared ones made it through in one piece.)  Of course, classes, 
other than Mon. evening ones, didn't start until today, so that may be a 
different story...  I think our new class will do just fine though, and 
I'm looking forward to getting to know many of them.  I already know 
several of them just because they've either been in school with my 
daughter, or are friends or relatives of ours.  I've watched a few of 
them grow up and it's still mind-boggling to think that they're now in 
college!  Grown up (almost) and ready to get out there and take life on, 
(after they get their education).

Wasn't the rain wonderful last night?  I don't even care that the 
thunder woke me up a couple of different times.  It just made me 
appreciate that we were FINALLY getting some much needed rain.  Now 
maybe they can have a Mud Bowl Thursday instead of a Dust Bowl.  
Oklahoma's already had a Dust Bowl and it wasn't a good thing.  

We had a lot of fun having Dougo doing his morning show from the Student 
Center yesterday morning, and enjoyed the interview with our new music 
director, Patrick Moore, this morning.  Doug has mentioned that they 
need volunteer help at the radio station, and would like more student 
involvement this semester, so if you think you'd like to learn new 
skills and help out in this area, contact Dougo or Kristen Turner in 
Baker Hall and talk to them about it.  And remember to tune into 
Mountaineer Radio at www.radio.eosc.edu on your computer.  It's great!  

FYI:  Our Cyber Cafe will be open continuously from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 
p.m. now, and we have a couple of wonderful new sandwich options to 
choose from: a Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich, and a Rotisserie Chicken 
on Wheat Berry Bread.   Come in and try them out!

I just called Lori Mitchell to find out about the Street Dance, today's 
special event for students for the first week of classes, and she 
informed me it will be held in front of the Student Center this evening, 
if it doesn't rain.  I told her they should go ahead and have it even if 
it does rain and just call it a Rain Dance.  (She tells me if it rains, 
they will be moving it indoors into the Student Center.)  The rain we've 
had the past couple of nights has been wonderful, but we could certainly 
use more.  The little stream down the hill from my house still looks 
like a dried up stream bed, but this morning it actually had a couple of 
puddles in it, so you students get out there and dance us up some more! 

In spite of the fact that it's Wednesday, we've still got some students 
who are experiencing their first day of college.  My daughter doesn't 
have any Tuesday classes scheduled so her first taste of college classes 
came this morning in Mrs. Duncan's class.  There were still students 
getting registered, and getting ID's and books, etc. yesterday, but I 
think most of them have the beginning details taken care of.  Now it's 
time to get down to the business of studying and learning!  Go out and 
Make Your Mark at Eastern!

Hi folks,

I was hoping we'd get some more rain yesterday evening.  The lightning 
was really putting on a wild light show to the north, like a giant 
strobe light, but it didn't produce any rain at my house.  At least the 
temperature was way down from what it had been previously.  That alone 
was a BIG improvement.  I could go for more of that.

Very Happy Birthday wishes go out today to Spanish Instructor and 
Faculty Council Chairman, Buddy Sandefur.  Is that Feliz Cumpleanos, 
Buddy?  Have a great day!

The Mud Bowl, one of the most fun student events on campus is scheduled 
for this evening at 6:00 north of the Football Field!  This messy, mucky 
event has been a big hit with countless Eastern students thru the years, 
and I'm sure our new freshman will have a ball participating in it as 
well.  Check out the August 2011 Eastern calendar page for a shot of 
some of last year's Mud Bowl participants.  You'll probably still be 
able to recognize some of them through all the mess.  

For anyone interested in Community Theatre, there will be a meeting this 
Saturday at 4:00 at the Gallery in downtown Wilburton (across from 
Adelitas and A Touch of Paris Salon).  If you like to act, are good at 
creating costumes, have artistic ability to assist with backdrops, 
props, etc., or just want to get involved with something fun and meet 
new people, please come be a part of this new venture.  We'd love to 
have you!

Hi folks,

Too bad about the Mud Bowl being called off yesterday.  I'm sure that 
left a lot of students disappointed.   I understand it is only postponed 
and will be rescheduled for a day when the weather isn't as threatening 
as it was at times yesterday.  The danger of  lightning striking 
students while engaged in outdoor activities is not to be taken lightly. 
  I told Dana they were probably afraid after the rain yesterday that 
there would be TOO MUCH mud and they might lose one or two of the 
smaller students in it.  We wouldn't want that!

Very Happy Birthday wishes go out today to long time Eastern biology 
instructor, Mr. Bill Albright.  He's a really nice fellow and I hope he 
has a great day!

I saw Lindy Morgan's email giving the weight room schedule and just 
thought I'd say that if someone wants to get in shape by lifting heavy 
things, I have rocks at my house that could use moved...   And we've 
usually got heavy bags of dog food that need moved for PAWS.  That would 
definitely give someone a workout!

Don't forget if you're interested in the Theatre, there will be a 
Community Theatre meeting at The Gallery on Main Street across from 
Adelita's, tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m.  Come get acquainted with 
everyone and see what it's all about!

from 7pm-10 pm.
It will be open Monday-Thursday 7pm-10pm. Except on game nights. It will

When you finish with weights put them up where they belong.
We will have a someone working and if they see miss use the equipment or

Hi folks,

What a sweet deal coming your way this evening, students!  All EOSC 
students should stop in the Student Center this evening from 6:00 to 
8:00 for the "Build Your Own Sundae Club Browse".  All campus clubs and 
organizations will be set up in the dining area, starting with Student 
Government (ESGA), who will provide the ice cream, followed by each of 
the other clubs with a different topping for your sundae.  (If I had to 
guess, I'd bet Psycho Club will provide the "nuts".)  Go around and 
visit with representatives from the wide variety of clubs on campus, and 
pick your favs to join.  This tasty event won't be the only thing campus 
clubs will be participating in.  There's the Halloween Carnival coming 
up, and Homecoming, and I believe each club is responsible for hosting 
one (or more) of the weekly dances on campus during the semester.  
Joining a club or two will help you meet new people with a common 
interest, build new friendships, and improve your teamwork skills.  
Extracurricular activities such as club memberships will also look great 
on your resume later on in your college career and in the work world!

  The road behind Mitchell is for EMERGENCY vehicles only it will soon be
marked DO NOT PARK and curb painted red.

Students if there is a red curb it is for emergency vehicles only, if there
is a yellow curb it is a load / unload zone

only.  Do not park in these areas tickets are being issued this week for
this.  You must have a handicap placard on

your rearview mirror to park in these areas.  No parking on grass for any
reason.  Most staff / faculty parking are 

those that are most readily available in front of most buildings marked with
blue signs however there are exceptions,

behind field house, library, and first two rows north of field house in
Baker parking lot.  If you are a resident student

do not drive to classes on this campus to avoid being ticketed.  Most other
parking is for commuters and or visitors

to our campus.  Parking permits are delayed at the factory so until further
notice you will not be ticketed for not

having one.  Last word they gave us was they would be in Friday the 19th.
Will announce as soon as they are 

available. Please do not park where there is not marked with two yellow
lines, one on each side, then only park in 

this one spot not taking up two spaces, we have a lot of this happening.
Please do not park in front of doors behind Miller dorm also.  Most of this
is in your handbook, just

Looks like another warm day on tap for Eastern Oklahoma, but with some 
chance of rain which should cool things off a bit (I hope).  Coming back 
from the orthodontist at Poteau yesterday, my daughter and I actually 
got rained on a little.  For quite a way it looked like there was rain 
in the distance, but as we got closer, I thought it was turning out to 
be a mirage.  It took me by surprise when raindrops actually began 
falling on the car!  I keep hoping for the last of these 100+ degree 
days, but that's not happening quite yet.

If you're energetic, full of Mountaineer spirit, and dream of becoming a 
Mountaineer Cheerleader, grab your pom-poms and get over to the 
Fieldhouse today between 4:00 and 6:00 for Mountaineer cheer tryouts.  
This could be your big break! 

The Latimer County Arts Council held our first meeting of the school 
year yesterday evening, with a very promising turnout of old members and 
new.  Eastern's own Theatre director, Melissa Lee, was elected 
president, replacing Ruth Brelsford, who insisted on stepping down after 
holding the office for several successful years.  She will however, 
still be a working member of the council, and has generously volunteered 
to continue helping with program bookings for the local school 
programs.   For anyone intereseted in joining the group, our meetings 
are held the third  Thursday of each month at the Gallery on Main Street 
at 6:00 p.m.

There will be a book signing tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., also 
at the Gallery, for the book The Lamb by Mena, Ark. author Kevin 
Atchley, and illustrated by local artist Jeanie Barbee.   Come buy the 
book, and meet the author and the illustrator.  More detailed 
information on this is available on the front page of this week's 
Latimer County News Tribune.

Hi folks,

It was really nice to get some RAIN over the weekend!  So many of my 
plants looked totally dead, with not a sprig of green in sight on them, 
I was really glad to notice some little green shoots coming out on my 
clematis vines on the arch at the entrance to our yard.  Maybe some of 
our plants will be able to recover enough foliage to give us a little 
fall color this year after all.  That's always one of the big 
attractions in this part of the state, with people coming from the tree 
deprived western half of the state and various other areas to admire our 
beautiful fall colors. 

Classes are well underway, but "the fun week" as I call it, is still not 
quite finished.  The Mud Bowl, one of the students' favorite activities 
of the whole year, has been postponed twice now, due to circumstances 
beyond the control of our Student Services staff.  There are plans to 
reschedule this sometime soon, as soon as a suitable date can be pinned 
down, so don't give up on it yet.  Third time's charm!

Our Cyber Cafe will be closed until further notice, as we are having 
freezer repairs done, and we will be concentrating on keeping our main 
line operating smoothly. 

Anyone having an Employee of the Month nomination they'd like to present 
to the Staff Council should do so this week.  These may be give to any 
Staff Council member, or deposited in the "Suggestion Box" in the 
mail/copy room in Choctaw Hall, before the last Friday of the month to 
be eligible for the current month.   (Staff Council members are Helen 
Scott, Sheryl Marmon, Anne Hester Brooks, Gail Wilson, Lynn Hackworth, 
and myself.)  I know we have some excellent employees at Eastern, and 
recognition of an exemplary performance would be a great way to 
encourage the nominated individual as well as motivating others.

             Chicken fried chicken
             Mashed potatoes and gravy
             Corn
             Green beans
             Garlic biscuits
             Hot rolls
And for dessert, have some Cherry Cake.

Hi folks,

I thought sure we'd get some rain yesterday, but it didn't happen at my 
house.  I saw lots of lightning off in the distance on my way home, 
though, so someone probably got some rain, it just wasn't where I wanted 
it.  (Of course, they can keep the lightning.)  At least what rain we 
have gotten has done some good.  I was surprised this morning as I was 
leaving for work to see dozens of  pale lavendar petunia like 
wildflowers blooming in my front yard.  They're doing better than 
anything I have planted on purpose! 

Happy Birthday wishes go out for tomorrow to long time Eastern Softball 
(and former women's basketball) coach, Andy Mace.  I figured I'd better 
get that in today, as I'll be taking a vacation day tomorrow for my 
husband's and my 20th anniversary.  He took off for it, and I figured 
he'd have way too much fun being on his own and unsupervised, so I had 
to take off too.

Employees, don't forget to fill your Shred-It bins, since the next 
pick-up is scheduled for this Thursday.  I started keeping a folder on 
my desk for things that can be shredded and recycled rather than tossed 
into the landfill, then periodically, I'll go upstairs and deposit it 
into the bin.

          Chicken fried steak
          Mashed potatoes and gravy
          Broccoli and rice casserole
          Zucchini and tomatoes
          Blackeyed peas

Hi folks,

I was very glad to see Don Hickey's email about the progress in the 
paving going on on campus.  I kow everyone will be relieved when it is 
complete and all roads are open again.  I can also look out my window 
daily and see the progress on the new lighting project in the clock 
tower area, which I understand will also extend down the sidewalks.  
That will dress up our campus and be a safety feature as well, 
especially for Cafeteria and Maintenance workers who have very early 
schedules and have to cross campus before daylight at times.  I've 
noticed it's getting darker earlier in the evenings, too, so this will 
also benefit students who have evening classes or go to the Fieldhouse 
for some exercise in the evenings.  The recent addition of spotlights on 
our new Eastern sign at the front of our campus has made it look 
especially good at night, also. 

Happy Birthday wishes go out today to Allen (Big Al) Kendrick, our 
Assistant to the Director of Operations on campus, and Cafeteria Cook 
Becky Martin.  I hope they both enjoy their big day. 

Employees, don't forget to get your waste paper in the Shred It bins 
today!  This is pick up day, and we need to get our money's worth out of 
our bins.

Eastern Students:

I wanted to send a reminder that the new parking tags have finally arrived.
As in years past, all cars parked on campus need to have a valid tag and
these tags can be purchased in the Student Services Office on the second
floor of the Student Center.  Parking tags for students are $20.00 per year.

Public Safety officers will begin ticketing cars without tags beginning
September 1, 2011.

Subject: [Eoscstudents] Menu for Week of Aug. 29 to Sept. 2 No Cyber Cafe

Hi folks,

We're trying something new with the way I do the menu starting today.  
LaDonna wanted me to do it once a week so you'd know in advance what we 
plan on serving on a particular day, (barring any changes we may have to 
make in the meantime).  Let us know what you think.

Don't forget if you signed up in the Cafeteria for the blood drive, it's 
today, so don't forget your appointment!

Campus birthdays for this week include:  Gwen McMillen of the Human 
Resources office, and instructor Julie (Davis) Collins, who are both 
celebrating today, and Trisha White of the Business Office who will 
celebrate her birthday on Thursday.  I hope all you ladies have a great day!

Monday's menu:
       Meatloaf, Mashed potatoes and gravy, Green beans, Corn, Baby 
carrots, Hot rolls
       Fast Food:  Pizza
       Dessert:  Fresh Apple Cake

Tuesday's menu:
       Pork chops, Mashed potatoes and gravy, Fried squash, Peas, 
Cabbage, Hot rolls
       Fast Food:  Chicken fried Chicken on a bun with Waffle Fries
       Dessert:  Assorted pies

Wednesday's menu:
       Sweet and sour chicken, Rice or Baked potato, Egg roll, Oriental 
veggies, Corn, Hot rolls
       Fast food:  Hamburger with fries
       Dessert:   Cookies

Thursday's menu:
        Cube steak, Mashed potatoes and gravy, Broccoli with cheese 
sauce, Fried okra, Blackeyed peas, Hot rolls
        Fast food:  Steak melts
        Dessert:  Peach Cobbler

TGI Friday's menu:
        Chicken alfredo, Baked beans, Coron on the cob, Veggie blend, 
Garlic bread
       Fast food:  BBQ sandwich and potato wedges
       Dessert:  Cheesecake

And as always we'll have our wonderful Salad Bar, (prepared by Yolanda 
DelRio), with an assortment of goodies to tempt your taste buds!

Be advised, the menu may change without notice due to the availability 
of product, but we'll do our best to stick to what we have posted.

Subject: [Eoscstudents] PBL Meeting This Thursday

 Greetings everyone,


 


Just a reminder that this week we will be holding officer elections for PBL.  The meeting will take place in Mitchell 201 this Thursday beginning at 12:00 pm (noon).  You can even  bring your lunch if you want. 


 


 If you are interested in being an officer, please come and if  you are not interested in being an officer, please come.  We need your votes for the election process.  


 


This is a casual meeting and once elections are done, we will decide as a group when you would like to hold future meetings, such as once a week, once a month, what days and times, etc. 


 


Mrs. Smith and I look forward to working with you all in revamping this club.   Mrs. Smith and I will be meeting over in the Student Union near the Cyber Cafe for one more recruitment push this Wednesday from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm.  Feel free to come by and check in!


 


If you are unable to attend the meeting on Thursday and would still like to hold an officer position, please let me know by Thursday at 11:30 a.m.  I will be sure your name gets on the ballot.

This is just a reminder that we are holding our first Photo Club meeting at 4 p.m. today in Baker Hall 114. Today we will discuss some simple things including future meeting times, planned photo "excursions," possible exhibits and workshops, and even homecoming.
