Hi folks,
 
I hope everyone managed to make it in through the smoke today.  It's been rough on people like myself who have asthma.  It looked especially bad toward the west this morning.
 
Birthdays for this week include Cafeteria worker, Tita Hughes today, and London White of Student Affairs on Fri. Jan. 24.  Locally, tag agent employee, Rhonda Bell also celebrates her birthday today.
 
Friday is the last day to drop a class without charge, so if you feel you need to withdraw from any of your classes, please do so by Friday.
 
Lunch menus for the week include:
 
Monday:  Tacos, Mexican rice, pinto beans, cheesy corn, fried okra, cornbread, and bread pudding.  Soup of the day:  Minestrone.
 
Tuesday:  Seasoned pork loin, buttered potatoes, gravy, black eyed peas, turnip greens, fried squash, hot rolls, assorted pies.  Soup of the day:  Roasted garlic and tomato.
 
Wednesday:  Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, English peas, rice pilaf, Tuscan vegetables, Brussels sprouts, hot rolls, coconut crunch pudding.  Soup of the day:  Bean with bacon.
 
Thursday:  Roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, lima beans, baby carrots, corn, wild rice, hot rolls, lemon poke cake.  Soup of the day:  Vegetable.
 
Friday:  Chicken Alfredo, or fish on a bun with waffle fries, sautéed squash with red pepper, fresh broccoli spears, fried okra, garlic bread, blueberry cheesecake.
 
Dinner menus include:
 
Monday:  Jambala or grilled chicken wrap with chips,  corn on the cob, steamed cabbage, green beans, salad bar, ice cream with toppings.
 
Tuesday:  Hamburger steak or chicken crispito with fries, mashed potatoes and brown gravy, baby carrots, Monterrey vegetables, fresh cauliflower, ice cream with toppings.
 
Wednesday:  Chicken and rice casserole, or burritos with chili and cheese with waffle fries, Brussels sprouts, California blend vegetables, English peas, ice cream with toppings.
 
Thursday:  Meatloaf or grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup, scalloped potatoes, navy beans, fried squash, Tuscan vegetable blend, ice cream with toppings.
 
Friday:  Cyber menu.
