All,
It is springtime! Leaves are sprouting, flowers are blooming, and the grass
is growing. Springtime is a wonderful time of year filled with a new start
and new life, however, for some it could be one of the most miserable times
of year with high pollen count and allergies. Also, spring is when the
weather begins to change. For Oklahoma this change creates a higher risk
for adverse weather conditions. It is during this time that Oklahoma has
an increase in thunderstorms, haill, flash floods, and of course tornadoes.

I highly encourage you to be diligent and to monitor weather conditions
daily. It is in your best interest to know the forecast, be prepared, and
make a plan of action. When on campus, get to know the locations of all
shelter areas. Know who the building monitors are and take all directions
from them and campus police in the event of inclement weather. Also,
please pay attention to all RAVE alerts. If you are not receiving RAVE
alerts please email ajones725 at eosc.edu enter RAVE Addition in the subject
line.

Please click the link below to hear a message from the EOSC Emergency
Management and learn the locations of all shelter areas.
