As far as I am concerned, it officially got hot yesterday. We can now
switch from complaining about the cold and start complaining about the
heat. We had a nephew graduate at Buffalo Valley yesterday evening
and we went to the ceremony in their gym. (Yes, Rusty, I did see you
there handing out things.) How had I never realized before that it is <u>not
air conditioned</u>? The whole crowd was using their programs for
makeshift fans, and I think there was an unspoken agreement to hold all
applause til the very end to make everything go faster so we could all
get outside into the cooler air. There was some trouble with the sound
system at one point, and I firmly believe it was suffering from a
meltdown. Everyone else was.<br>
<br>
It looks like construction has started back up on our new building site
on campus, so as long as we can stay rain free they ought to be able to
get on with their work. It seems strange to look out and see the whole
mid-section of campus fenced off, but we can't have cars zooming around
in a construction zone.<br>

Mashed potatoes and gravy<br>
Squash<br>
Cabbage<br>
Black eyed peas<br>
Chicken patty sandwich<br>
French fries<br>
Hot rolls<br>

And for dessert have some Banana Pudding.<br>
