Man, it's good to see so many students back on campus today! I hope no
one is still frozen up out there, but wouldn't be too surprised if they
were. I noticed the creek down the hill from our house and our pond
were frozen over solid, and that very seldom happens. There's usually
at least some thawed space in the middle, but not this year! We hadn't
had cold weather like this last spell in years, and I hope we don't
again for several more years. Where's that Global Warming when you
need it? Up there thawing out the Polar Ice Cap? Us Okies are not
used to this extreme freeze stuff, and don't want to get used to it! <br>
<br>
<big><b>FYI:</b></big> For those of you who like to use "plastic" for
your purchases, the <b><big><big><small>Cafeteria and the Cyber Cafe
now accept</small> Visa, Discover and</big></big><small><small> </small></small><big><big>MasterCard</big></big></b>
credit cards for your convenience, so if that's your preferred method
of spending, we're now ready to do business with you on your terms. <br>
<br>
We also have a new extension in the Cyber Cafe so you can call if you
need to. Just dial 878 from any campus phone, or 465-1878 from any
outside line. The extension for the cashier's desk in the Cafeteria is
890, or 465-1890 from an off campus line.<br>
<br>
To help kick off the new semester, a fantastic <b>program</b> will be
presented in <b>Mitchell Auditorium tomorrow evening.at 7:00 FREE OF</b>
<b>CHARGE</b> for all to enjoy! The program is open to the public as
well as EOSC students and employees, and features the <b>Sugar Free
Allstars</b>, a madcap musical duo combining jazz and blues rhythms
with their witty lyrics and original songs. If you've ever wondered
what the <b>Latimer County Arts Council</b> is all about, this program
is a sample of the kinds of entertaining and educational programs we
try to bring to this area for the local schools and citizens to
enjoy. <b>We are grateful to Eastern Oklahoma State College for
their help in bringing this program to the area.</b><b> <br>
