Thank goodness we've cut back on the heat some! I guess we were paying
for all those really cold days we had last winter, (that we also didn't
want). I broke down and watered my shrubs at the house again yesterday
evening. They were looking so sad and droopy that I couldn't stand it
anymore. I don't want to lose any of my plants. There goes your shade
if that happens, and that's all that makes being outside in the
summertime bearable! <br>
<br>
Very Happy Birthday wishes go out today to Carolyn Prock of our EOSC
Maintenance Dept. and also to Ali Martinez, our Bookstore Manager. I'm
not sure about Carolyn, but I know Ali would love anything CHOCOLATE
for her birthday, so she'll probably have to come get a piece of
chocolate cake at lunch.<br>

I hope all our EOSC employees are making plans to attend the upcoming
EOSC Family Picnic at Robber's Cave State Park on Saturday, August 28.
It's for <u>all EOSC employees</u>, whether they are staff or faculty,
and their families to attend and have fun together. It seems that
staff and faculty are in two different worlds here and don't have many
opportunities to get together and get to know each other. This could
be the perfect time to remedy that situation. There will be lots of
food, fun, games and bookoos of wonderful doorprizes to be drawn for
during the event. Be sure and come out and join the fun.<br>
<br>
Don't forget to attend the Meet and Greet reception with our 2010-2011
EOSC Men's Basketball team and new coach, Scott Edgar, from 4:30 to
6:30 in the Student Center Ballroom today. Refreshments will be
served, so come ready to have a snack and talk basketball! Go
Mountaineers!<br>
