It's a short week for students and faculty here at Eastern this week,
after getting a day off due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday
yesterday. Offices and the Cafeteria were open for business as usual
to take care of whatever needs (or hunger pains) arose, however. <br>
<br>
There will be a <b>Staff Council meeting today at 2:00 in the Library
Conference Room</b>. Anyone interested in attending is invited to come
and listen and participate.<br>
<br>
This <b>Wed. Jan. 18</b>, be sure and wish <b>Math Prof. Margaret
Sorrell</b> a <b>very happy birthday</b>. (It might be good for some
bonus points or at least some brownie points!) <br>
<br>
<b>Thursday, Jan. 19,</b> the <b>Mobile Mammogram van will be on campus</b>.
I'm sure several of us already have appointments to visit them for this
important yearly health screening, but if you'd like to call and check
about making an appointment or get more information on this matter,
dial 1-800-422-4626, Ext. 110.<br>

<b>Our menus for Tues. Jan. 17 to Fri. Jan. 20 are:</b><br>
<br>
<b>Tuesday:</b> Chicken fried chicken, oven beef stew, a variety
of vegetables, cornbread, hot rolls, baked potatoes, and assorted pies<br>
<br>
<b>Wednesday:</b> Pork chops, a variety of vegetables, tortilla
soup, baked potatoes, hot rolls, cream of coconut cake<br>
<br>
<b>Thursday:</b> Chicken alfredo, a variety of vegetables,
potato soup, baked potatoes, hot rolls, banana pudding<br>
<br>
<b>Friday:</b> Hot wings, BBQ on a bun, baked beans, corn on
the cob, potato wedges, two handed cookies<br>
<br>
<b>FYI: </b> We've noticed some of our new students are not yet
familiar with our serving hours, (and some of our regulars tend to
oversleep or forget), so here's a listing of our Cafeteria serving
times: Breakfast 7:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.; Lunch 11:00 a.m. to 1:30
p.m.; Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Mon. thru Thurs., and 5:00 p.m. to
6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hours on Saturday and Sunday are: Brunch 11:00
a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Dinner 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. <br>
