Hello Colleagues,

Welcome back to a new school year! Here are your Faculty Development sessions for the upcoming school year 2014-2015. We have chosen some topics from those identified in the faculty survey at the end of the spring semester. Thus far, we have lined up a 12 speakers for the academic yearl. Thank you for such an overwhelming response to the call for proposals. If we did not get to you this time, please feel free to submit for future presentations.

The sessions will be featured in the order they will appear:

Health Eating for Academic Success

Session Synopsis: Research shows that a relationship exists between overall well-being and academic success. Although well-being is a general term that indicates a state of being healthy, happy, or successful (Merriam-Webster Online, 2014), there are some steps that need to be taken in order to be healthy, happy, or successful. One of the most important steps is healthy nutrition. Healthy nutrition contributes to a person’s well-being because you are what you eat. This presentation will provide practical healthy eating tips for academic success.
