[Lu_faculty] Arranging next Elections for the Senate Seats

Dear Deans and Faculty Members,

It is time for elections for the Langston University Faculty Senate.  As you are preparing to elect representatives from your respective schools, I would like to remind you about the timeline for general elections, and elections criteria and terms of service:

a)      Timeline

*         Each school should vote on faculty senate representatives,  by April 1st, 2016

*         After voting on your representatives, please send the names and terms of service, in writing to the LUFS Chair, Dr. James Showalter at jlshowalter at langston.edu<mailto:jlshowalter at langston.edu>



b)      Process

*         Each of the academic units shall determine by two-thirds vote of each of its faculties its own method for electing senators and determining their specific constituents pursuant to senate guidelines.

*         Each  academic  unit  shall  notify  the  Faculty  Senate  Chair in writing about method used in the selection of its senator(s), by April 1st, 2016
