[Lu_faculty] Input about Adjunct Pay

Dear Faculty,

Please review the following motion below that came up for discussion during a Faculty Senate meeting.  The representatives for Faculty Senate are asking that all faculty members have an opportunity to provide input regarding the motion before the Senators make a final vote.  Please realize that the Faculty Senate has no authority to determine employee payment.  If the motion passes, it will be sent to administration on behalf of the faculty as a recommendation for policy change.  Please send your comments to Dr. James Showalter at jlshowalter at langston.edu<mailto:jlshowalter at langston.edu> by April 4, 2016.

Motion:
Teachers who work as adjunct at Langston University shall be paid fully by the course and not be subject to any diminution of that pay due to the number of students.
