Faculty Development is ready to launch for the fall semester and we need your help! There are a few topics that will be delivered university wide, but spaces are still available to faculty to present. This semester faculty development has been opened to include all faculty, staff, and administrators. For any of our new faculty, staff or administrators, faculty development was created at LU as a way to fulfill the HLC requirements related to Assumed Practices (Teaching and Learning: Quality, Resources, and Support. Faculty development is a series of professional development presentations that must: 1. Inform and influence pedagogical practices 2. Improve instructional delivery 3. Innovate course delivery 4. Streamline or assist in focusing assessment efforts 5. Increase grant writing capacity and efforts, and 6. Provide knowledge of Langton University’s functions Faculty development is open to anyone who wishes to submit a proposal during the open call for presentations or anyone who indicates their willingness to present on the end of year survey. All presentations must align with the topics above, but can cover content of the presenter’s choosing. Sessions are presented in three ways: 1) in person (using the Gandy Hall facilities), 2) through Adobe connect (to attend remotely), and 3) using archived links on the CTI webpage or D2L Faculty Development page. Your Name Your Topic Title and Synopsis If you are aware of someone who is not receiving the announcements from the listserve, please have them follow the instructions below. 1.
