university wide, but spaces are still available to faculty to present. This semester faculty development has been opened to include all faculty, staff, and administrators. </span></div>

<div><font face="Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 16px;">For any of our new faculty, staff or administrators, faculty development was created at LU as a way to fulfill the HLC requirements related to Assumed Practices (Teaching and Learning: Quality, Resources,
and Support. Faculty development is a series of professional development presentations that

<li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">Inform and influence </span><font face="Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 16px;">pedagogical practices</span></font></li><li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none;">Improve instructional delivery</span></li><li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none;">Innovate course delivery</span></li><li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none;">Streamline or assist in focusing assessment efforts</span></li><li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none;">Increase grant writing capacity and efforts, and</span></li><li><font face="Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Provide knowledge of Langton University’s functions</span></font></li></ol>
<div><font face="Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Faculty development is open to anyone who wishes to submit a proposal during the open call for presentations or anyone who indicates their willingness to present on the end of year survey.
All presentations must align with the topics above, but can cover content of the presenter’s choosing. </span></font></div>

<div><font face="Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Sessions are presented in three ways: 1) in person (using the Gandy Hall facilities), 2) through Adobe connect (to attend remotely), and 3) using archived links on the CTI webpage or D2L Faculty
Development page. This semester, we will be presenting four university sessions during the regularly scheduled faculty meetings. </span></font></div>
