<li class="gmail-m_-5252543673857023190MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in">I honestly expect my board members to continue on their committee (and most do), which is where the real work gets done;<u></u><u></u></li><li class="gmail-m_-5252543673857023190MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in">Giving the big going away deal might make them feel as if they are being dismissed, or they have done enough … and I still want to have them involved;<u></u><u></u></li><li class="gmail-m_-5252543673857023190MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in">We work hard for the dollars we have in our budget and we really weigh out the spending;<u></u><u></u></li><li class="gmail-m_-5252543673857023190MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in">I do send a hand written thank you card, which I am very sincere in what I say (not a cookie cutter card);<u></u><u></u></li><li class="gmail-m_-5252543673857023190MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in">Giving them thank yous and shows of appreciation (not costly ones) throughout their tenure is more important than having a party when they leave.<u></u><u></u></li></ul>
