<div dir="ltr">We confer when all coursework and degree requirements are completed. That means if there is an incomplete grade as of the graduation date, the degree cannot be conferred. An exception would be if the instructor forgot to change the grade in time and confirms in writing the work was done before the graduation date. In that case, we would retroactively confer.<br>

Very interesting. So a student is allowed the designated timeframe of completing an "I" grade without penalty to degree posting. So if deadline of completing an incomplete grade is one year, would your institution retroactive posting a degree to Spring 2014, upon receiving incomplete grade in Spring 2015?<br>

What is your campus best practice or rule of thumb concerning conferring degrees for incomplete grades that come after the preceding semester begin? Example: student completed all requirements with exception of one course he/she received an incomplete grade on for Spring 2014. The incomplete grade was submitted during the Summer 2014 semester once coursework was completed. Would your institution confer degree for Spring 2014 or Summer 2014?<br>
