<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">The Council on Instruction’s (COI) Admission, Retention and Transfer (ART) Committee is currently considering several changes to the State Regents’
<i>Institutional Admission and Retention </i>policy. Among the changes being considered is to update the policy definitions of “First-Time Entering Student” and “Transfer Student” to more closely align with federal definitions, such as that of IPEDS. The
current OSRHE policy definitions are below. The committee would appreciate your feedback on how these definitions could be updated to better reflect the data you are required to report and to mitigate any other issues that may be caused by the current definitions.
