The University of Kansas Office of Student Financial Aid  (OSFA)
announces the following vacancies.  

Assistant  Director

General:  The Assistant Director assists the Director in  support of the
financial aid programs administered by the Office of Student  Financial
Aid.  The Assistant Director also works with the Associate  Director and
Student Information Services (SIS) to test new functionality  and
upgrades to the Student Administration Financial Aid Module and  to
create and schedule production reports.  This position  coordinates
office computer support, data collection and analysis, and  maintains the
OSFA web site.  

Required  Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and one year experience in information  technology
(obtained through college coursework/projects or work  experience).
Technical understanding and demonstrated experience utilizing  computer
software such as SAS, Excel and Access to extract statistical  data.
Knowledge of web design principles, including familiarity with  web
accessibility and usability norms and guidelines. Experience  developing
and maintaining a complex web site. Demonstrated strong analytical  and
organizational skills.  Demonstrated effective written and  oral
communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's  degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Management
Information  Systems or related field with strong technical background
and  experience.  Experience working with an integrative student
information  system, ideally PeopleSoft or Oracle.  Experience in
financial aid or  closely related area.  

Program Specialist (Financial Aid  Counselor)

General: The Financial Aid Counselor provides quality  financial aid
counseling to students, prospective students, and families and  assists
the Director, Associate Directors, and Assistant Directors with  various
federal and state financial aid program responsibilities.   

Required Qualifications:  
Bachelor's Degree. Demonstrated  effective written and oral communication
skills, including conducting group  presentations. Advising experience in
higher education.  Experience  working with an integrative student
information system, ideally PeopleSoft or  Oracle.  

Preferred Qualifications: 
Work experience in KU  financial aid.  Demonstrated interpersonal skills
for working with a  diverse student population.  Demonstrated experience
in problem  solving.  Familiarity with KU. Familiarity with KU Peoplesoft
Student  Administration Financial Aid module.
