This is a reminder regarding an important approaching spring 2007 OTAG reporting deadline.

By Friday, March 2, 2007 -- one week from today -- each participating institution must have submitted their INITIAL spring semester award claim. The president or chief executive officer of any institution not submitting an initial claim by March 2 will be notified in writing within 5 business days. At this time we have finalized at least one award claim for all but 16 participating institutions.

If you need a pre-populated Award Claim Form to assist your office in claiming spring OTAG awards for your eligible students, please send a message to reports at otag.org.

Institutions can certainly continue to claim awards through a final deadline of April 10. However, in order to stay on target with our commitment to keep institutions informed regarding the availability of funds, it is important that the majority of award claims be completed by the March 2 initial deadline. Please be mindful that the earlier ALL institutions complete their OTAG disbursement activities, the sooner we can determine if funds will be available to award in summer 2007.

Recap of additional upcoming spring 2007 deadlines for OTAG:

	·	April 10, 2007 No further requests for awards, or for increases of individual awards already disbursed, for the spring 2007 semester will be accepted after April 10, 2007. Requests for exceptions due to extraordinary circumstances may be granted only upon approval of the Chancellor for Higher Education and must be submitted in writing to the Chancellor.
Note: In planning the timing of your award claims, be aware that waiting until the April 10 final deadline to submit an award claim, does not relieve your responsibility to adhere to the April 17 deadline described next.
	·	April 17, 2007 Institutions shall notify the State Regents of any pending refunds that have not already been returned to the State Regents.
	·	April 20, 2007 The State Regents shall announce if any OTAG funds are available for awards in the summer 2007 semester. If funds are available, the State Regents shall also announce awarding criteria.

We appreciate your assistance in delivering OTAG funds to Oklahoma's eligible students and in adhering to the set deadlines for the betterment of the delivery process for all participating institutions, and most especially for the students who benefit from the program.
