[Oasfaa] Email to students

For those schools that use email to communicate with your students I
have a few questions:

1) What email program do you use?

2) Does the Financial Aid Office send their own email or is some
other office responsible for sending email.

3) Do you have to have approval before sending email to large
groups of students?

4) If you are using a bulk email program is the Financial Aid
Office allowed to send bulk emails or do you have to send your
information to another office for them to send?

5) Does your campus have a policy for sending large volumes of
email? If so would you share the policy?

I hope these questions make sense. We have just implemented email for
all students and questions have come up as to who can send what. Of
course I think the Financial Aid Office should have privileges that
others don't.....but that's just me. Any other information you could
provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steven
