[Oasfaa] Vicki Update

Hi Everyone...

 

Wanted to share with you how Vicki has been doing.  She went to the
hematologist/oncologist yesterday and her platelet count
was.............142000 :-) :-) :-) 

This is a wonderful number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  He could not get over how good
she looked and just kept hugging her.  Her feet and legs are finally
getting back some shape as that is the last area for the fluid to come
off.  She has been walking each day to help regain her strength and she
was able to get up all the stairs at her house this weekend!!! :-)   She
sees the kidney doctor today for a checkup and is also getting the port
removed from her shoulder which she is glad to get out.  The doctor is
sending her to a physical therapist next month.  Since her muscles were
not used for such a long while he just wants to make sure all is in good
working order.  She was able to go to church for the first time on
Sunday and that was an awesome day but extremely tiring for her.

 

One of the best parts of her day is when the mail comes...you all are
still being so faithful in sending her cards and letters...she is so
thrilled to hear from all of you!!!
