> ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF STUDENT FINANCIAL SERVICES #22916

> POSITION SUMMARY:
> The Assistant Director of Student Financial Services reports to the
Director and is primarily responsible for packaging student files for a
specific segment of the alphabet for returning undergraduate students. 
> 
> CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:
> * Packaging student aid awards for returning undergraduate students
according to federal regulations and within university standards;
> * Counseling students as to need levels and award packages, advising
them on all available sources of funding;
> * Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations as they
pertain to student financial assistance;
> * Bill and disburse Oklahoma Promise (OHLAP).
> * Bill and disburse funds for Oklahoma Academic Scholars Program.
> * Award all LAP and LPN students currently in the continuing education
department;
> * Award all undergraduate transfer students transferring from other
universities and colleges. 
> * Enforcing a satisfactory academic progress program to maintain
academic excellence within regulatory constraints;
> * Maintaining activity with state, regional, and national financial
aid professional organizations;
> * Working in conjunction with the Director to represent the University
of Tulsa at public relations events that correlate with the need for
financial aid presentations; and
> * All other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Director of
Student Financial Services.
> 
> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
> A Bachelor's degree; four years of financial aid experience; thorough
knowledge of federal and state regulations and knowledge concerning the
financial aid industry; excellent customer service skills; and excellent
organizational skills to work in a financial aid office.  Equivalent
combination of education and/or experience may substitute for stated
qualifications.

> PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
> A Bachelor's degree and five years financial aid experience.
>
