We have added several columns to the report. If you have a program that runs from this report, these changes will likely affect your program. If you just upload a spreadsheet of your data to the Eligibility Check and no programs are built around this data, you should not encounter any problems; however you will probably notice the extra columns in the output spreadsheet. If you work with a programmer in this process, please be sure to share this new information with them. I've attached two examples of the output files or what you can expect to see after you run the eligibility check. One is in Excel and the other is in a text format. The instructions that I handed out at the July 12th meeting will be updated and posted on our financial aid resource website. I apologize for all of the confusion, and I thank you for your patience. If you have a dissertation that is worth 4 credit hours, how do you treat this requirement for completion purposes and Title IV eligibility? Let's say we have one student that takes 4 semesters to complete the dissertation. Would you count that as dissertation 1, dissertation 2, dissertation 3 and dissertation 4 and count that as enrollment status for each of those 4 semesters? What about a student that completes it in 2 semesters? Would they be treated differently even though the dissertations are worth the same toward the program requirement regardless of how long it takes to complete. Or do you only count it once and not allow any Title IV beyond that 1st semester that they begin completing the dissertation? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Student states adoptive parents adopted quite a few children and when they turned 18, made them move out. What documentation do we need to prove citizenship since the birth certificate shows him as being born in Romania and there is not a match with SS? I can't seem to locate anything specific to this. If adoptive mom was born in the states, does that make the student a citizen by virtue of adoption? We also have a copy of the SS card. His ISIR came back flagged for citizenship.
