POSITION TITLE: Administrative Specialist/System Analyst &
Reporting-Financial Aid 
  
NATURE OF POSITION:  Maintain the data processing which includes the
automated system for processing applications for aid.  Importing and
exporting data using SCT, Ed Connect, and the COD system.  Oversee all
reporting as it relates to the financial aid office, Federal, State, and
Institutional Aid.  Acts as compliance officer and meets with staff on
policies and procedures.  Act as liaison with Tulsa, OKC campuses and with
the LU Gazette. 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Perform all accounting functions relative to
the financial aid department.  Process and Reconcile all federal, state, and
institutional fund accounts; reconcile Pell account with the Department of
Education, ensuring proper reporting and reimbursement to the university for
all Pell Grants awarded to students.  Reconcile and maintain financial aid
departmental and fund budgets.  Assist both internal and external auditors
in the gathering and analysis of data for auditing purposes.  Assist the
Loan area in the reconciliation of student and parent loans.  Responsible
for processing Return of Title IV Funds in a manner timely.  Reconcile and
award all scholarships, Tuition Waivers and Stipends.  Coordinate
scholarship awards with the Honors Program and the Athletic Department. 
Responsible for processing OTAG, OHLAP, FISAP, NAIA, Regents Fee Wavier
Report, OCR, and the Institutional Data Trends Report.  Work closely with
Accounting, Fiscal Affairs, and  the IT Department.  Some meeting attendance
will be required.  Perform other duties as assigned verbally and/or in
writing by the Financial Aid Director and Vice-President for Student Affairs
& Enrollment Management. 
QUALIFICATIONS: Required:  Bachelor's degree and some knowledge of Title IV
financial aid regulations.  Strong organizational, customer service, and
computer skills.  Ability to communicate effectively, and have diverse
skills in computer usage(Word, Excel, and Access.)  Experience with SCT
software and accounting skills a plus  DESIRED: At least one year of
Financial Aid and Higher Education experience.   
  
Successful candidate must provide documentation of identity and eligibility
for employment, as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA)
of 1986. 
SALARY: $33,280 Annually
