We discovered today that we are unable to access FAAaccess, NSLDS or Edconnect w/out our token info. (Previously, we could bypass it and everything was ok, but today, no.) So, I dutifully called the SAIG help desk and the convo went something like this...

Me: We are unable to access your sites because it is requiring token info. However, we haven't received those tokens.

SAIG help person (Jamie): Yes, we are aware some schools are having this issue, and we are in contact with ??(people who issue the tokens) to determine how to fix it.

Me: So, you can't let me access the sites?
Jamie: No ma'am, but you can call us to find out the status of the research at any time. You may also call NSLDShelpline, edconnect helpline, etc for information. (she gets my hopes up)
Me: So, can they get me into the sites??
Jamie: No, but they can update you on the research. (ARGHH!)
Me: So, basically, we cannot work until you determine a fix? Does that mean we should just go home?
Jamie: I'm sorry but I can't tell you that. (Jamie has no apparent sense of humor.)
Me: Ok. What is my ticket #?
Jamie: You don't have a ticket # but the next time you call, that person can give you a #. (What??)
Me: Can someone contact me when it is fixed?
Jamie: No, you will need to call back.
Me: What is your name?
Jamie: Jamie, what number can you be reached?
Me: 405.878.2178
Jamie: Someone will call you as soon as it is resolved.
Me: Thanks??? (one minute before, they couldn't call me back...???)

So, all that to say, if you are this similar issue, too stinkin' bad! You can laugh or you can cry but you can't communicate with the government or import ISIRs, transmit files or really much of anything at all to do with federal aid. So, go shopping or go spend the day at the zoo, right? :-)
