ONLY SPRING SEMESTER FUNDS CAN BE CLAIMED using this extended cutoff. Pre-populated Award Claim Forms generated by OTAG for Spring 2015 will include: * students who were awarded and disbursed in Fall 2014 * students who were awarded and subsequently cancelled in Fall 2014, unless they were cancelled due to a change in EFC greater than 1700 * students with award potential who were not awarded in fall but could be awarded in spring -- this group includes students with FAFSA receipt dates from 1-1-14 through 4/5/14 and EFCs of 1700 or lower. Students included in an Excel pre-populated Award Claim Form for spring will be sorted in the following order: * Awarded * Cancelled * Pending On the Excel spreadsheet Award Claim Form this status will be displayed in Column J. On the Text Award Claim Form the status will be displayed in Field #11, Position 71. As in fall Award Claim Form reporting, institutions using the pre-populated form will need to delete information for students who should not be paid in spring (even if they were paid in fall) and edit the information as appropriate (FT/PT, over awards, etc.) for the students to be paid in spring. More detailed instructions will accompany the spring pre-populated or blank template reports. If you would like to receive a "work copy" pre-populated Award Claim Form to assist you in identifying additional students who can be awarded in spring, please send a request to reports at otag.org. Please contact our office at 405.225.9456 or toll free 800.858.1840 or send e-mail to reports at otag.org if you have questions or require more information regarding spring OTAG awarding and disbursement processes. Happy (jealous) for Nancy but sad that I will be losing a long term colleague and friend. You are invited to come help us celebrate her retirement this Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 3:00. The reception will be in the Regent's Room which is located on the second floor of the student center, the student center is on the corner of 17th and Alabama. The Regent's Room is a little hard to find, you have to go thru Dusty' s (Grill) to get to the room. If you can't make it I am sure Nancy would enjoy an email with well wishes, her last day on campus is December 19th. Sorry for the short notice, Thanksgiving and FSA has thrown me a little behind. Hope to see you! Laura Coponiti University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... COHEAO has started this petition. Might help, especially if we can get students involved. I had a difficult time copying the link so hoping it carries over with forwarded message. After signing petition you get on to Change emails, but you can just unsubscribe. Tami Good afternoon, As you may know, the Federal Perkins Loan Program is in jeopardy. In order for the program to continue beyond the 2015-16 award year, Congress must reauthorize the Program or extend the September 30, 2015 sunset date. In 2012-2013, close to 500,000 students with need were awarded nearly $1 billion in Perkins loans. This funding is critical to students who may not qualify for any other financing options, including more costly private loans, and therefore would be unable to complete their education. Yesterday, COHEAO went live with a petition to Save the Perkins Loan Program. Our goal is to get 50,000 signatures. When a supporter signs the petition, an email message is generated to their Senators and Representative. Your voice matters! Please take one minute out of your busy day to sign this petition and make a difference: https://www.change.org/p/save-perkins-now Please show your support for this proven program by signing the Save Perkins Now Petition and sharing the information with your colleagues, students, borrowers and anyone else who understands the benefits of this long-standing program. Please feel free to also share the petition via social media. In the coming days and weeks, COHEAO will be supporting this petition and additional advocacy efforts through a @SavePerkinsNow Twitter handle and an accompanying Facebook page. ________________________________ CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This transmission and any documents, files, or previous e-mail messages attached to it is for the designated recipient only and may contain privileged, proprietary, or otherwise private and confidential information that is legally protected.
