We have some students that are starting for the first time this spring (did not attend anywhere in fall) who are taking out loans. What would you list as their academic year is 09/03/2013 - 04/25/2013 and their loan period is 01/10/2014 - 04/15/2014 even if they did not attend in fall or would you give them a spring/summer academic year? And if you give them a spring/summer academic year if they end up not attending in the summer them do you go back and change the academic year to 01/10/2014 to 04/15/2014? Our school does both AY and BBAY loans. I thought I had this figured out but now that she is asking me and questioning it I am not sure anymore. All I can remember for sure is that the guy at FSA said the academic year can never start out as just one term. Thanks for your help in advance!! For student for whom you're tracking annual loan limits under a BBAY, their academic year would be spring-summer. If you had originally reported a fall/spring loan period, and the student does not show up for spring, then you would change the loan period to fall-only and leave the academic year as fall-spring. Examples of all of this are available in DCL GEN-13-13. We are safe. We had our building locked down quickly and remained locked down for one hour. Our President is stating it was a false alarm. They are telling us to stay away from the building that the shooting was reported in, but resume normal activities.. I'll update if I hear anything else. Caryn Caryn L. Initially, it seemed like the right time to start from scratch and re-evaluate our figures but now I am asking myself why I started this. :) I can get a pretty good estimate for off-campus housing but am not sure where to start for those living at home with their family. Do you separate this group of students and if so, what do you use for your off-campus with family group of students for their room & board budget? Thanks for any input you can offer.
