She is an incoming freshmen for fall. When I ran my suspension processes in Banner, it suspended her because she had a D and an F. (My first thought is that she may want to reconsider attending OBU full-time if that's the best she can do, but that's not the point of my email.) So, I was going to change her back to a good SAP status but then I started questioning myself. She isn't meeting the 67% or the gpa for SAP (obviously) and even though she wasn't a degree seeking student in spring, should she be suspended and forced to appeal just as we would treat an incoming transfer student in this situation? I'm tempted to play it safe and go this route and it may be a good wake up call for her, but I don't want to do that if it's simply wrong. Thanks in advance for any input! One individual contacted ED and was told that the consequences for our FAFSA filers due to the IRS being hacked was that they could no longer use the online Get Transcript service because IRS took it down. I haven?t seen any evidence that the IRS DRT is no longer available at all. We?ve loaded ISIRs just this week and the parents used the IRS DRT successfully as recently as June 10. Since the breach was in the news May 27, I?m thinking the IRS DRT is still working. Exploring nature? If so, New Mexico is the state for you! White Sands, NM White Sands National Monument is one of the world?s great natural wonders. Great wave-like dunes of gypsum sand cover 275 square miles of desert creating a truly beautiful scene! Enjoy a Sunset Stroll or take the Lake Lucero Tour to learn about the formation of the sands and the plants and animals that live in the dunes. The night sky is perfect for stargazing, as there is very little light pollution due to the City of Alamogordo?s dark sky ordinance. White Sands National Monument is located about three and a half hours south of Albuquerque near Alamogordo, NM. For more information, please go to: www.nps.gov/whsa/ Carlsbad Caverns, NM Carlsbad Caverns is one of the oldest and most famous cave systems in the world, containing more than 119 limestone caves. Whether you decide to make reservations for a ranger-guided tour or decide to explore on your own, you will not be disappointed! Make sure to bring a light jacket with you as the temperature hovers at 56F year-round inside the caverns. Don?t forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning landscape you will see. Between the months of April-October, take part in the bat flight program where you can see hundreds of bats exit Carlsbad Caverns in search for a dinner of insects. Bring the whole family for a full day of fun!
