Thank you Bruce for keeping us informed on Jeannie's condition.
Many of us old OASFAA members have known Jeannie for a long time. As a consultant I would cross paths with her every once in a while at the Tulsa Airport either departing or arriving. I will remember her smile and laugh.
My thoughts are with her family at this time.

I just spoke to Mike Shore. He, along with their daughter and son, made the decision to take Jeannie will be taken off of life support. Tomorrow morning around 10 a.m. their decision will be honored and the rest will be in the Lord's hands.

Mike did share more information today. Jeannie was diagnosed with COPD several years ago. She had taken a serious downturn in the last several months and was on oxygen 24/7. She never wanted this shared with friends and even kept it from their kids until it could not be hidden any longer.

She had a COPD episode at their home over the weekend. Mike called for an ambulance and when the EMT's arrived they could not find a pulse. They resuscitated her and took her to St. Johns. Mike also shared today that one of the tests they conducted soon after she was admitted was an EEG. It showed serious seizures going on within the brain but very little other measurable brain activity. They did the another EEG yesterday and still another this afternoon with the same results.

Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. As you can imagine, it is a very trying time for the family.

I will share any information I receive about funeral arrangements as I receive it.

Please share this with anyone you have contact with who worked with, or was OASFAA friends of, Jeannie and is no longer on the listserv.

Federal Student Aid’s (FSA’s) Guidance on Summer Term Enrollment Reporting

Dear PAUL,
On April 20, the FSA released its guidance related to Summer Term Reporting<https://t.e2ma.net/click/c3dz0/cnxrj/s7752i>. After careful review, the Clearinghouse believes that additional clarity is needed related to the guidance in order to confirm institutional compliance. As a result, we have asked FSA to clarify how the following should be handled by schools:

  1. Correctly determining the certification dates on spring semester data and when that data should be reported, instead of reporting the "Less Than Half Time" statuses during optional summer terms
  2. Accurately capturing a student’s withdrawn status during a summer term with respect to the "Date of Determination" logic
  3. Accurately capturing the correct dates for a student who was "Less Than Half Time" during optional summer terms and who does not return in the fall Our objective in asking for the above clarifications is to ensure the highest standards of data quality and integrity are reflected in the information being reported. The Clearinghouse is also working to determine if any changes are needed within our process to ensure our summer reporting aligns with the needs of both loan servicers and NSLDS.
We do not anticipate that your school will need to make any changes in your reporting to the Clearinghouse.
Please stay tuned as we await further clarification from FSA, which we will share with you.
If you have any audit or compliance related questions, please contact our Audit Resource Center at auditresource at studentclearinghouse.org<mailto:auditresource at studentclearinghouse.org?subject=>.
If you have questions regarding how you should submit your enrollment information, please contact our Data Integrity and Operations Department at schoolops at studentclearinghouse.org<mailto:schoolops at studentclearinghouse.org?subject=>.

Sincerely,
