Assistant Director/Financial Aid Counselor


The Office of Financial Aid at Rogers State University invites candidates to
apply for the position of Assistant Director/Financial Aid Counselor.  This
is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Director of Financial
Aid.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  The coordination and
administration of one or more financial aid programs; Counseling and
advising students regarding the availability and qualifications for various
types of financial aid; Awarding financial aid packages ensuring compliance
with all the requirements and regulations.  The Assistant Director will
assist the Director in strategic planning with the goals of developing and
implementing a compliant, customer friendly, comprehensive student financial
assistance program.

Minimum Qualifications:  This position requires a Bachelor's Degree,
Master's preferred, with 2 to 3 years of direct financial aid experience.
The successful candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge and
understanding of financial aid programs, issues, automated systems and
technology, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.  This job
requires both oral and written skills and the ability to communicate in both
group and individual settings.  Salary is commensurate with experience and
qualifications.
