This one-day event will be held in each of ED's ten regional cities and Washington, DC. Due to the high level of interest, the registration deadline has been extended until July 18, 2001. Registrations for several of ED's Regional Training Facilities have exceeded available space, and we are in the process of locating alternate facilities nearby. If you have attempted to register for one of our eleven locations and have been unable to do so, please try again. As larger facilities are identified, the on-line system will permit additional registrations. Attendees will receive a personal e-mail message with any changes in workshop location and other pertinent information soon. Information about NDPD is available at . This site includes a link to the registration page. Still have questions? You may call the Dallas Regional Office at 214-880-2410 or visit the link above and see the regional contact for the office closest to you. We look forward to seeing you at this important workshop. Message-ID: <55206A473154D011924D0020AFF7ACB5079A6F8F@mail1.oulan.ou.edu> My "daughter", Cindi Lou (a former workstudy student we "adopted" who is now a government documents librarian) sent me this statistical synopsis of how we celebrate the Fourth of July, so I thought I'd share. I guess digging up arcane info on the web and sending it to friends runs in the family, huh? At our house, we're planning on entertaining our local fire dept. (also known as "no sir, there's no fire, my husband is just cooking on the grill") and going to see the new movie "Cats & Dogs". No, we won't try to sneak our dogs into the theatre...they'd hog the popcorn. However you celebrate, have a safe and happy holiday! THIS IS NOT "OUR" DAVID HORN. Our David is FINE. However, he did tell me how he just heard that a good friend ALSO named David Horn (and who has a son named David Horn) died earlier this week in a scuba diving accident while on vacation in the Cayman Islands. The deceased David Horn works for American Airlines and lives in the Tulsa area. Knowing how closeknit our community is, and how tangled our grapevine can sometimes become, I wanted to forewarn everyone before a panic arose that OUR DAVID is JUST FINE. Of course, our sympathies go out to the other Horn family and to OUR David in the loss of his friend.
